CodeBrain.com Ghost Kit

Featuring David Griffiths' Lake applet and the art of Ralph Light

=================================================================

CREDITS

First and foremost, credit where credit is due!

THE ARTWORK

All of the artwork and much of the time-consuming applet tinker-
work is by Ralph Light of GhostGalleries.

If you need more ghost art, Ralph has a ton of it! You can
currently visit Ralph's fantastic and robust gallery of ghost
and related graphics at: http://ghostgallery.freeservers.com

THE APPLET

The lake.class applet upon which all of these demos are based
is by David Griffiths. It is, rightly, one of the best known
and most widely used applets on the 'Net.

We don't provide detailed instructions on use of the applet
here as it really isn't necessary to the demos. For details
about using the parameters, linking, and other features of
David Griffiths' superb applet, see his excellent site materials
at: http://www.demon.co.uk/davidg/lake.htm

While there, do consider contributing to David's favorite and
very worthy charity, Ty Hafan Children's Hospice of Wales:

THE PREPARATION

The kit was assembled by the staff of www.CodeBrain.com.

INSTRUCTIONS

If you're an old hand at JAVA, you can probably skip these
instructions entirely.

If you're new to JAVA, this applet kit is as easy as it comes.

There are 13 demos, numbered 001 thru 013.

All the files related to a given demo are numbered accordingly.
Most of the demos have only one image; several have two.

To make the demos work on your server, just take all of the
files with the same number in the filename, and put them in
the same directory on your server.

Take the lake.class file, and put that in the same directory,
as well.

That's it. The demo will run.

To insert a given demo into your page, just copy and paste
everything from <applet> through </applet> into your page
where you wish the applet to appear. Once again, be sure
you have the lake.class file and the graphics indicated in
the code in the same directory.

For more detail on the parameters of the Lake applet, see the
link (above) to David Griffiths' site -- his documentation and
explanatory materials are top-flight!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
